Match Recap
Gabin Bernardeau settled it in the 68th minute, the only goal Lorient needed to stun a Paris FC side that arrived in considerably better form. The hosts sit 13th in Ligue 1 with just five points and one win from five games, while Paris FC came in fourth with eleven points and three wins from the same number of matches, the form team in the division on paper. None of that mattered once Bernardeau found the breakthrough midway through the second half, and Lorient held firm to close it out 1-0. The two clubs have split their recent meetings evenly, one win apiece and a draw across their last three, so this was always tighter than the table suggested. E. Lepaul remains Ligue 1's top scorer with 23 goals, but neither he nor anyone else among the division's leading names found the net here. Bernardeau did instead, and his 68th-minute winner is the goal Lorient fans will want to watch again.
