Match Recap
Jagiellonia controlled this Ekstraklasa contest from the first half, going two goals clear before Slask Wroclaw could mount a response. Kajetan Szmyt opened the scoring on 19 minutes, and Ousmane Sow doubled the advantage six minutes before the break to leave the visitors with a mountain to climb. Piotr Samiec-Talar pulled one back for Slask in the 81st minute, setting up a nervy finish, but Jagiellonia held on for a 2-1 win that moves them to nine points from five games, their third victory of the young season. It continues a strong run of form for the home side, who have won their last two, while Slask remain rooted in the lower half of the table on six points. In their only previous meeting, these sides drew, so this was Jagiellonia's first win over Slask in recent head-to-head history. Sow's first-half finish, the goal that proved to be the winner, is the one worth watching.
