Match Recap
A. Cordea, Liga I's leading scorer with 15 goals, saved his best work for the biggest audience. CFR 1907 Cluj arrived at this fixture with three points and three losses from their first four Liga I games, a side that looked ripe for the taking, yet Cordea's 77th-minute finish turned the table on second-placed FCSB and handed Cluj a 1-0 victory. FCSB had rolled in on the back of consecutive wins and 11 points from five matches, the form side in Romanian football; they leave Cluj with nothing. For CFR, it is their only win of the season, and it extends a perfect head-to-head record against this opponent, one meeting, one victory. The man at the top of the golden boot standings waiting until the final quarter of the game to settle it is exactly the kind of finish you need to see.
