Match Recap

A. Leguizamon broke Emelec hearts and mended them in the same breath, rifling home in the sixth minute of stoppage time to seal a 2-1 Liga Pro victory over Leones del Norte at the death. Emelec had taken an early lead through J. Ruiz in the third minute, only for Liga Pro top-ten scorer J. Anangono, who now has ten goals on the season, to level for the visitors on 25 minutes. From there the match looked to be slipping away from a home side that had won just once in their last five outings, sitting on 29 points in a run that read LWDLL. Leones del Norte, arriving in better form with 35 points and two wins from their last five, had also beaten Emelec in their only previous meeting. None of it mattered once Leguizamon stepped up in added time. Pull up the highlights and watch exactly how he found the corner to keep Emelec alive.
