Match Recap
Santa Clara turned Estádio de São Miguel into a statement venue, dismantling Rio Ave 4-0 in the Primeira Liga to move to 11 points from five games and cement their place in the top three. Brenner Lucas Goncalves Santos set the tone inside three minutes, and when Tiago Ribeiro and Vinicius Lopes struck either side of the hour mark to make it 3-0, any hope of a Rio Ave response was gone. Luis Fernando Santos Oliveira added a stoppage-time fourth to complete the rout. It was a result that mattered beyond the scoreline: Santa Clara had won just once and drawn once in their two previous meetings with Rio Ave, making this their most commanding head-to-head performance yet. Rio Ave, sitting on three points and bottom-half form of LLWLL, have now conceded four without reply on the road. Watch Brenner's third-minute opener that started it all, because the way this one finished, you'll want to see where it began.
