Match Recap
Defensa y Justicia didn't just beat San Lorenzo, they dismantled them. Jeremías Lucco opened the floodgates in the 11th minute, and by the time Héctor David Martínez doubled it right on the stroke of halftime, San Lorenzo already looked finished. David Barbona made sure of it three minutes into first-half stoppage time, turning a routine Liga Profesional Argentina fixture into a 3-0 rout. The scoreline tells its own story given the table: San Lorenzo sit seventh with 22 points and just one win in five, while Defensa, tenth on 19, have now won three of their last five and clearly have the better of this rivalry, extending a perfect head-to-head record over their visitors. None of their three scorers are anywhere near league leader C. Tarragona's 19 goals, but on this afternoon that didn't matter. Watch how Barbona's injury-time strike put the finishing touch on a first half San Lorenzo will want to forget.
