Match Recap
Macara came from behind in Quito, grinding out a 2-1 win over LDU de Quito that stretches their unbeaten run against this opponent to three straight meetings, with LDU still winless in the head-to-head. Franco Posse, the league's top scorer with 14 goals, broke the deadlock right on the half-time whistle in the 45+1st minute, and his strike proved decisive even after Jesús Pretell leveled for LDU in the 74th. The response was instant: M. Viera restored Macara's lead just a minute later, in the 75th, and this time there was no way back. The win lifts Macara to third in Liga Pro with 51 points, three wins from their last five, while LDU slip to fifth on 46 and will wonder how a share of the spoils slipped away in the space of 60 seconds. Posse's goal was his latest statement at the top of the scoring charts, and Viera's quick-fire reply settled a match that turned twice inside five minutes. Watch both second-half strikes, and see exactly how Macara snatched it back in the 75th.
