Persebaya Surabaya 2–2 PSS Sleman

Mandala Pereira refused to let Persebaya Surabaya lose this one. Trailing twice in the Liga 1 clash with PSS Sleman, the home side's forward struck twice, including a 90+1 equalizer that snatched a 2-2 draw out from under Sleman's noses. PSS had looked the sharper side early, with M. Lorenzen opening the scoring in the 9th minute, only for Pereira to level things before the break. H. Tanaka restored Sleman's lead in the 61st, and for a long stretch it looked like Persebaya's unbeaten home form would take a hit. Instead Pereira popped up again deep into stoppage time. The result tells two very different stories: Persebaya, sixth in the table on 8 points with a WDWD run, stay unbeaten; PSS, 15th with just 3 points and four straight losses before this, salvage a point they badly needed but couldn't quite turn into three. Watch Pereira's stoppage-time strike that broke Sleman hearts in the DailyGoal highlights below.
