Match Recap
Nashville SC left FC Cincinnati with nothing to take home from Geodis Park, turning a lopsided Major League Soccer contest into a four-goal statement from the league's top-ranked side. S. Surridge broke the deadlock just before the break in the 43rd minute, and H. Mukhtar doubled the lead eight minutes into the second half, the pair combining for 54 goals between them in the MLS scoring charts this season, ranked fourth and ninth respectively. FC Cincinnati, who had beaten Nashville in their only previous meeting, offered precious little in response, and Nashville's 52-point haul atop the table tells you exactly how routine this kind of night has become for them. B. Acosta made it three with a minute left on the clock, then A. Qasem buried the fourth deep into stoppage time at 90+6 to put the final seal on it. Hit play and watch Qasem's last-gasp finish cap off a statement night.
