Match Recap
Sevilla arrived at San Mamés and left with three points, six from six, and top spot in La Liga — a perfect start to the season built on a clinical second-half performance. Oso had given the visitors the lead before the quarter-hour, but the tie was effectively settled in a seven-minute blitz after the break: C. Ejuke extended the advantage in the 50th minute, and I. Romero drove the knife in at 57 to make it 3-0. Athletic Club had split their last two meetings with Sevilla, winning one and losing one, and Aitor Paredes pulled one back in the 70th to at least spare the Basque side a shutout — but by then the damage was long done. Athletic sit 18th with no points from their opening fixture, while Sevilla sit at the summit with two wins from two. Watch Ejuke and Romero's goals in quick succession to see exactly how this one got away from San Mamés.
