Match Recap
Riga and Kairat Almaty shared the points in a Conference League opener that swung inside the first quarter-hour. Kairat struck first through M. Gual in the 5th minute, only for Riga to level almost immediately when S. Oulad M'Hand found the net in the 12th. After that early flurry, neither side could find the breakthrough that would have settled it. Riga currently sit 36th in the table without a win yet, while Kairat Almaty are three places better off at 29th, and both will see this draw as a point gained rather than two dropped given where they stand. The league's scoring charts are still topped by T. Parrott on 10 goals, a reminder of the gap both these sides are chasing. For a match this tight, the two goals inside twelve minutes tell the real story, so catch M. Gual's opener and Oulad M'Hand's swift reply in the highlights below.
