Match Recap
Three goals down and seemingly finished, Besiktas somehow tore the game back open, storming to a 2-1 win over Kocaelispor in a wild Süper Lig collision. Kokcu, Show and Vlahovic all got on the scoresheet inside the opening half hour, with Kokcu breaking through in the 18th minute, Show adding a second in the 27th and Vlahovic making it three by the 32nd, and somehow it was still Besiktas walking away with all three points. The two clubs went in locked together on 12 points, Besiktas fifth in the table and Kocaelispor just one spot behind, though Kocaelispor's recent form read the better of the two coming in. History leaned toward the hosts regardless, Besiktas having won their only previous meeting between these sides. None of the match's scorers crack the league's top ten, where Shomurodov still sits well clear on 19 goals, which only makes this turnaround harder to explain. Go back and watch how Besiktas clawed out of a hole that looked impossible to escape.
