Match Recap
Maritimo had the lead inside 30 minutes when Martín Tejón fired them in front at the 27-minute mark, and for a while it looked like Arouca's solid early-season run might stall on home soil. Espen van Ee had other ideas. His equalizer right on the stroke of half-time shifted the momentum completely, and Iván Barbero put Arouca ahead for good with a 55th-minute finish to complete a 2-1 Primeira Liga comeback that keeps them on nine points from four games. Maritimo, who arrived having won their previous two, leave empty-handed but will point to Tejón's sharp opener as proof they were competitive for long stretches. It is the 11-minute swing between van Ee's leveler and Barbero's decisive second goal that defines this match, and that moment alone is worth hitting play for.
