Match Recap
Maritimo still can't find a way to win games, and Santa Clara made sure that trend continued, taking control through Tiago Ribeiro's 36th-minute strike before Vinicius Lopes doubled the lead on 60 minutes to seal a 2-0 Primeira Liga away day. For Maritimo, now 14th with eight points and winless in five league games, a form line reading LLLDL just got another letter added to it. Santa Clara, meanwhile, keep climbing. The win lifts them to fourth with 21 points, backed by a WLWDW run that's as consistent as anyone's outside the very top of the table. Ribeiro's opener killed off any early nerves, and Lopes' follow-up on the hour mark turned a tight scoreline into a comfortable one. Two goals, two different scorers, one team pulling clear in every way that matters. Watch both strikes, especially Lopes' hour-mark finish that put Maritimo's resistance to bed for good.
