Match Recap
M. Chaiwa broke Hibernian hearts in the 90th minute, scoring the winner that completed a stunning Gent comeback in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Scottish side looked to have turned the tie on its head after falling behind to J. Vergara's opener on 39 minutes, with J. Kerr leveling shortly after the break and F. Passlack putting Hibernian in front on 77. Gent refused to fold. C. Burgess pulled the Belgian side level with six minutes left, and then, deep into stoppage time, Chaiwa found the net to seal a 3-2 victory. The only previous meeting between these two clubs ended in a draw, which makes this a first defeat for Hibernian against Gent, and a painful one at that. Five goals, a lead surrendered, and a last-gasp winner, the Chaiwa finish in the first minute of added time is the one you need to see.
