Match Recap
Almeria didn't just beat Real Sociedad II's reserves, they put on a goal-scoring exhibition, racing to a 4-0 lead inside 54 minutes before the hosts even found the net. Brian Cipenga opened the floodgates in the 23rd minute, Miguel De La Fuente doubled it before halftime, and Sergio Arribas Calvo made it three in the second half as Almeria's unbeaten run stretched to five straight wins and top spot in Segunda División. Real Sociedad II, rooted to 19th and without a win in four, pulled two back through Lander Astiazarán and a stoppage-time header from Arkaitz Mariezkurrena, briefly threatening a miracle. It wasn't enough. Inaki Ruperez settled any nerves in the sixth minute of added time, sealing a wild 2-4 scoreline and a sixth goal in a match that never let up. De La Fuente's strike kept him level with the league's scoring charts, right behind leader Miguel de la Fuente's six for the season. Six goals, a last-gasp home rally, and a 90th-minute dagger from Almeria, watch every one of those goals land in the highlights below.
