San Jose Earthquakes 1–3 St. Louis City

S. Becher did the damage twice as St. Louis City dismantled San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 in Major League Soccer, arriving at PayPal Park and leaving with three points that keep their momentum rolling. Edelman set the tone early, drilling in the opener in the 8th minute, before Becher made it 2-0 in the 27th. Leroux pulled one back for the Earthquakes right after halftime, briefly threatening a response, but Becher put the contest to bed with his second goal in the 55th — a brace that underlined just how controlled St. Louis City were all afternoon. The visitors have now won four of their last five in all competitions, while San Jose have managed only one win across the same stretch, and their head-to-head record against this opponent reads two losses from three meetings. That 47th-minute goal from Leroux is the one moment of hope on an otherwise frustrating afternoon for the home side. Watch the Becher double to see how St. Louis City made it look so straightforward.
