Alianza FC 2–0 Independiente de La Chorrera

Alianza FC needed just one moment of quality to break down a stubborn Independiente de La Chorrera side, and B. Walters delivered it in the 66th minute. Ten minutes later, J. Marengo doubled the lead and put the game to bed, sealing a 2-0 win that lifts Alianza to second in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol table on 27 points, riding a run of four straight draws before this. Independiente slip to eighth with 20 points and a loss now mixed into their own run of draws, a result that stings given Alianza had only won one of their last five matches coming in. The head-to-head favored the hosts too: one win and a draw from their last two meetings, and now a second straight unbeaten result over this opponent. Neither side has a name near R. Dinolis and the league's scoring charts, but Walters and Marengo made sure Alianza didn't need one. Watch how Walters springs the deadlock in the 66th minute and Marengo slams the door shut ten minutes later.
