Match Recap
Slask Wroclaw are rock bottom of the Ekstraklasa and winless in five, but none of that showed against Wieczysta Kraków. Malaly Dembele put the hosts ahead in the 24th minute, and Przemyslaw Banaszak doubled it right on the stroke of half-time, scoring in the third minute of stoppage to send Slask in 2-0 up. Wieczysta arrived in better form, sitting two places and two points above their hosts, but a five-game losing streak for Slask meant nothing once the whistle went, and Wroclaw closed it out without conceding. Neither side has K. Czubak, the league's 25-goal top scorer, on the pitch, so this one belonged entirely to the hosts' own forwards. For Slask, it's a rare bright spot in a miserable run; for Wieczysta, a damaging result against a team they should be beating. Catch both goals, including Banaszak's stoppage-time strike that killed off any hope of a Wieczysta response, in the highlights below.
