Match Recap
Famalicao had no answer for a rampant Alverca side, who ran out 4-1 winners in a five-goal Primeira Liga thriller that turned into a one-sided rout. Francisco Chiquinho set the tone early, striking in the 14th minute, and Víctor Rofino Gordo's 39th-minute reply for Famalicao looked like it might spark a fightback. It never came. Lucas Figueiredo dos Santos restored the gap just after the break, and Alverca piled on with two more late goals from Vivaldo Semedo in the 77th minute and André Vidigal in the 85th to seal the demolition. The result lifts Alverca to 10th with eight points from five games, a win and a loss in their last two, while Famalicao sit two places and a point further back, their own mixed form doing little to suggest they saw this coming. Famalicao had edged the pair's last meeting, but this head-to-head swung firmly the other way. Four different scorers, a five-goal avalanche, and a visiting side that never let up: watch how Alverca's 85th-minute strike put the finishing touch on their biggest statement of the season so far.
