Match Recap
Getafe and Rayo Vallecano shared the points in a scrappy 1-1 draw at the Coliseum, and neither side moved far from the bottom half of La Liga. Álvaro García put the visitors ahead inside 11 minutes, finishing off a quick break before Getafe had settled into the game. Martin Satriano leveled things just after the hour, dragging his side back level with a goal that kept Getafe's home crowd in it to the final whistle. Both clubs sit level on 8 points, Getafe 15th, Rayo one place above in 14th, and their recent head-to-head tells a similar story of parity, two meetings, a win apiece. Getafe's patchy form of late, one win in five, made the response after falling behind at home all the more important, while Rayo's away day continued their habit of grinding out results on the road. Neither Satriano nor García features among La Liga's top scorers this season, with Kylian Mbappé still well clear at the top, but both strikes mattered plenty to the sides that needed them. Watch how Satriano worked the space to beat the Rayo backline for his equalizer in the highlights below.
