Match Recap
Atletico-MG didn't need a response, just overwhelming force. Reinier opened the floodgates in the 37th minute, and five minutes later Bernard doubled it before the half was even through, turning the Copa Sudamericana tie against Atletico Torque into a formality. Thiago Borbas put the finishing touch on the 3-0 rout in the 80th, capping a complete demolition from start to finish. Both sides arrive in good form, with Atletico-MG sitting on 10 points from five games and Torque on 13, but none of that table context mattered once the home side found its rhythm in attack. Gabriel Barbosa remains the league's top scorer with six goals, though nobody on the scoresheet tonight threatens his place at the summit, this was a collective takedown rather than an individual showcase. Three different Atletico-MG scorers, three different moments of quality, zero reply from Atletico Torque. Watch how Bernard's 42nd-minute strike turned a routine lead into a rout before halftime even arrived.
