Match Recap
Igor Gomes needed just one moment, in the 78th minute, to settle a tense afternoon at home for Atletico-MG, breaking down a stubborn Coritiba to seal a 1-0 win in Serie A. For long stretches neither side could find a way through, but Atletico-MG's quality eventually told, and the goal fit a pattern: this is a team riding three wins and two draws from their last five, now up to seventh in the table on 47 points. Coritiba arrived without a single win in that same stretch, picking up just two draws and three losses, and the defeat leaves them 11th on 39. The result also reversed the recent head-to-head, with Coritiba having come out on top the last time these two met. Replay Igor Gomes' late strike below and see the moment that finally broke Coritiba's resistance.
