Match Recap
Luan Peres saved Santos in the dying seconds, nodding home in the 90+3rd minute to snatch a 1-1 draw against Bahia at the death. It looked like it was slipping away after Luciano, one of Serie A's top ten scorers this season, struck in the 39th minute to put Bahia ahead. Santos sit eighth with 45 points off three wins from their last five, Bahia one spot above on 49 with two wins in that span, and neither side could find the breakthrough until Peres popped up right when it mattered most. The two clubs have split their last two meetings, so this draw fits a rivalry that refuses to settle one way. Luciano's finish showed exactly why he's among the league's most dangerous forwards right now, but it's Peres who will be remembered from this one, the last man anyone expected to deliver with the clock already in the red. Watch how Santos' captain times his run into the box for that stoppage-time leveler, and see Luciano's cool first-half strike that nearly won it for Bahia.
