Inter 4–1 Monza

Monza pulled level through Varela in the 29th minute, threatening to make this a contest, but Inter were just getting started. Calhanoglu had put the home side ahead inside six minutes, and the second half became a procession: Zielinski on 48, Esposito on 55, and Bisseck on 63 gave Inter four different scorers in a 4-1 demolition that left Monza pointless and bottom of Serie A after matchday one. Three points, top of the table, and not a single goal required from Lautaro Martínez, who carries 14 into the new campaign as the league's standard-setter. Monza will want to forget everything that followed their equalizer. All four Inter goals are worth your time, but Bisseck's finish to make it four and kill the last trace of doubt is the one to find first.
