Match Recap
Bologna needed a comeback to beat Monza, and they got it. Gustavo Varela stunned the hosts after just 6 minutes, but Bologna answered through Tommaso Pobega on 33 minutes before Federico Bernardeschi struck the winner on 59 to turn it around 2-1 in Serie A. The result pushes Bologna to 11 points and 11th, with three wins from five keeping their recent form (WWLWD) on the right side of respectable. Monza, now 16th on 7 points after this latest loss in a stop-start LLWLW stretch, had led and still walked away with nothing to show for it. Varela's early strike deserved better than to end up a footnote, but Bernardeschi's response is the moment that decided this one, Bologna's forward waiting until the hour mark to turn an early scare into three points. Watch how the hosts clawed their way back from behind, goal by goal, right up to Bernardeschi's decisive finish.
