Match Recap
Hany Mukhtar turned a top-of-the-table clash into a one-sided dismantling, scoring twice in the second half as Nashville SC put Inter Miami to the sword 4-1 at home in Major League Soccer. Andre Najar had given the hosts an early foothold in the 17th minute, and though Telasco Segovia pulled one back for the visitors deep into first-half stoppage time, Nashville came out of the break a different animal. Mukhtar struck in the 49th, Sam Surridge added a third in the 56th, and Mukhtar sealed it in the 63rd, turning what could have been a nervy evening into a statement. It was the kind of performance Nashville needed: sitting first in the standings on 43 points and meeting a Miami side just five points behind in second, they had lost more of their last five head-to-head meetings than they had won. Surridge, whose brace of goals tonight pushed him to 30 in the league and fourth in the golden boot race, set up the third goal from close range with a finish that won't make any 'best of' reel — until you see the angle.
