Match Recap
Heerenveen didn't just win at Sparta Rotterdam, they buried them, and the scoreboard read 0-4 by the time it was over. Nolhan Courtens opened the rout in the 28th minute, and Jacob Trenskow doubled it just before the break to leave Sparta chasing shadows. Maxence Rivera made it three early in the second half, and Marko Farji put the finishing touch on the demolition in the 75th. It's now three defeats in a row for Sparta in this fixture stretching back further, having lost both of their last two meetings with Heerenveen without so much as a draw to show for it. In the Eredivisie table Heerenveen sit tenth with nine points from five games, while Sparta languish in 14th with just five, a gap this scoreline only widened. Four different scorers, zero reply, one thoroughly one-sided afternoon. Watch how Trenskow's first-half strike broke Sparta's resistance, and how quickly the rest fell apart from there.
