Match Recap
Fortuna Sittard put Cambuur to the sword inside the first quarter-hour at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion, with P. Brittijn striking in the sixth minute and L. Zeefuik doubling the lead nine minutes later to set an unforgiving tempo. R. El Arguioui gave Cambuur a lifeline on 22 minutes, but the visitors, already winless in two Eredivisie outings this season, never truly threatened an equaliser. The home side picked up where they left off, and when S. Zand put the game to bed in the sixth minute of stoppage time, it sealed a 3-1 result that keeps Fortuna Sittard sitting on four points from their opening two matches. Cambuur, meanwhile, prop up the Eredivisie table with nothing to show for either of their starts to the campaign. Zand's 96th-minute finish is the one to watch, a clinical end to a nervy closing spell that Cambuur will want to forget.
