Match Recap
Julio Cesar needed just one moment to settle this one. With the score locked at 0-0 deep into the second half, the Persib Bandung forward struck in the 79th minute to sink Persik Kediri 1-0 in a tight Liga 1 clash between two sides who came in level on points. Persib sit ninth with seven points from four games, Persik one spot above on goal difference, but recent history tilted Persib's way even before kickoff: they'd beaten Persik once and drawn once in their last two meetings, still unbeaten in the head-to-head. Neither side had D. da Silva, the league's 21-goal top scorer, on the pitch to settle it from distance, so it fell to Julio Cesar to produce the only quality moment in a match that threatened to end scoreless. For Persik, a fourth game without back-to-back wins continues, while Persib banks a result that keeps their push up the table alive. Watch how Julio Cesar's 79th-minute strike unfolded, and see exactly how Persib broke Persik's resistance when it mattered most.
