Match Recap
CFR 1907 Cluj put five minutes of first-half madness to devastating use, ripping the game open through Lorenzo Biliboc's 24th-minute opener and Stefan Dražić's follow-up five minutes later. FC Botosani clawed one back through Mykola Kovtalyuk in the 68th, but Sergiu Buş restored the two-goal cushion nine minutes later to seal it 3-1. The win nudges CFR up to sixth in Liga I on 13 points, riding a form line of three wins from their last five, while Botosani slip to 11th despite arriving on a decent WDWL streak of their own. It also extends CFR's dominance in this fixture, having won the only previous meeting between the sides. With league top scorer A. Cordea watching from elsewhere, none of Sunday's four goalscorers cracked the division's top ten, but that mattered little to the home crowd who saw their side score twice inside five first-half minutes. Watch Biliboc and Dražić combine to blow the game open before the break, then relive Buş's decisive strike in the 77th that put Botosani's comeback hopes to bed.
