Match Recap
Umar Sadiq settled this one with a single strike in the 69th minute, enough to send Valencia back from Elche with all three points in La Liga. It wasn't a rout, and the table shows why neither side can afford to be picky with results: Elche sit 17th on 10 points, Valencia just two spots and a point behind in 19th, both scrapping in the same cramped stretch of the standings. Sadiq's goal also tilts recent history Valencia's way after Elche had edged the previous meeting between these two. Kylian Mbappé still sits miles clear atop the league's scoring charts with 46, a reminder of how far off that pace most forwards are, Sadiq included, but on this night his was the only name that mattered. Elche pushed for a leveler that never came, and Valencia managed the lead well enough to see it through to the final whistle. One moment of composure in the box separated two sides who badly needed the win. Watch how Sadiq finds the gap in the 69th minute and turns a tight, scrappy La Liga afternoon into three crucial points.
