Ikorodu City 2–0 Kwara United

Ikorodu City needed just two minutes to set the tone, with E. Ujunwa poking home an early opener before E. Ikechukwu doubled the lead on 36 to send the hosts in front at the break in this NPFL clash. From there Kwara United never found a way back, falling 2-0 despite sitting one place and a point above Ikorodu City in the table coming in. It extends an unblemished head-to-head for the hosts, who have now won the one previous meeting between these two sides on record. Kwara United arrived on the back of a stronger recent run of form, but it was Ikorodu City's sharp start that decided this one, with neither side's goals coming from anyone currently inside the league's top ten scorers, V. Mbaoma's 13-goal tally still well clear at the summit. Two goals in the opening 36 minutes, then a full half-hour of Kwara United pressing for a way in that never arrived, catch both Ikorodu City finishes and the siege that followed in the highlights below.
