Match Recap
Rizespor never had an answer. Fenerbahce turned this Super Lig trip to the Black Sea into a one-sided demolition, going 3-0 up without reply and barely breaking stride. Marco Asensio opened the rout in the 12th minute, finishing off a flat Rizespor defense early enough to set the tone for the entire afternoon. The hosts stayed in it on the scoreboard alone until the closing stretch, when Fenerbahce finished the job in a five-minute burst: Irfan Can Kahveci struck in the 83rd minute and Oguz Aydin added a third just four minutes later to complete the scoreline. Both sides arrived with five league games played and 10 points apiece, but it was Fenerbahce's superior recent form, three wins from five, that showed on the pitch here, while Rizespor's mixed run continued. The head-to-head history between these two offered little comfort for the hosts either, with Fenerbahce already unbeaten in their last meeting. Three different scorers, zero reply, and a scoreline that flattered no one at home. Catch Asensio's opener and Aydin's late finish in the highlights below.
