Match Recap
Anthony van den Hurk did it alone. Down 2-0 at Almere City FC, Roda looked finished after H. el Dahri and Jamie Jacobs put the hosts in control inside the first hour of this Eerste Divisie clash. Then van den Hurk took over, scoring three times between the 54th and 74th minute to complete a hat-trick and flip the scoreline to 3-2. It's a result that pushes Roda to 19 points and sixth, while second-placed Almere City FC, who edged this same fixture last time out, slip to a mixed WLWLW form line. Van den Hurk's treble also lands him in the league's top ten scorers, ten goals now, behind pace-setter N. Bannis on 15. Five goals, a two-goal collapse undone, and one striker who refused to stop: watch van den Hurk's second and third strikes, seven minutes apart, to see exactly how Roda turned Almere City FC's lead into their own highlight reel.
