Match Recap
Racing Club finally shook off a miserable run, snapping a five-game winless streak by beating Sarmiento Junin 3-1 at home. G. Escudero broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, but Sarmiento levelled three minutes later through J. Marabel, whose finish was his 13th league goal of the season, good for sixth in the Liga Profesional Argentina scoring charts behind leader C. Tarragona's 19. Racing responded twice: Adrian Martinez restored the lead just after the hour, and I. Rodriguez added a third in the 80th minute. It's a badly needed result for a side that had lost four of its previous five games, against a Sarmiento side that had won three of its last five and whose only previous meeting with Racing ended level. Catch Rodriguez's late clincher, the goal that finally buried Racing's slump, in the highlights below.
