Match Recap
Nea Salamis tore Anorthosis apart in a one-sided demolition that flipped both teams' form on its head. D. Poveda broke the deadlock just before halftime, in the 43rd minute, and P. Louka doubled the lead early in the second half, in the 64th, before S. Grandsir turned a comfortable win into a rout with a stoppage-time strike in the 90+4th minute. It's the kind of result nobody saw coming: Nea Salamis arrived winless through three rounds in the 1. Division, sitting 13th with a single point and a run of two straight losses, while Anorthosis had actually been the healthier side, up at 9th with three points and a win already banked. None of that mattered once Poveda opened the scoring. Three different scorers, three separate spells of the game, one hopeless afternoon for Anorthosis. Watch how Grandsir's 90+4th-minute finish puts the exclamation mark on this scoreline in the highlights below.
