Match Recap
Aris turned the first half-hour into a demolition job on the road. Veljko Nikolić opened it in the 23rd minute and junior rody effaghe doubled it just two minutes later, leaving AEL chasing the game before it had properly started. Gustavo Pajé added a third early in the second half to put the 1. Division clash well out of reach, and Stevan Jovetić's 89th-minute consolation for AEL only arrived once the result was long settled. The scoreline flips the table script: AEL sit second with 15 points off four wins in five, Aris are down in sixth with just two wins from five, yet it's the away side celebrating a 3-1 win built on a ruthless 23-to-63-minute spell. AEL had won the only previous meeting between these two, so this one breaks that trend in Aris's favor. Three different scorers, one lopsided afternoon. Watch how Aris blitzed AEL twice in two minutes, then see Jovetić's late strike give the home fans one moment to cheer in the highlights below.
