Match Recap
Corvinul Hunedoara needed less than half an hour to build a two-goal cushion, and FC Voluntari spent the rest of the afternoon trying to claw it back. Sérgio Ribeiro opened the scoring in just the 6th minute, and although Lovro Cvek pulled one back for Voluntari on 26 minutes, Emmanuel Yeboah restored the home side's lead two minutes later. Matko Babić's strike on 63 minutes briefly set up a nervy finish, but Ion Cararus settled it for Corvinul Hunedoara in the 80th minute, completing a five-goal shootout in this Liga I clash. The win lifts Corvinul Hunedoara to 13 points and 7th place, snapping a run of mixed form (WLLDD) with their second victory in five games, while Voluntari stay 15th on 8 points despite showing signs of life with a win of their own in that same stretch. Neither side has a player among the league's top scorers, with A. Cordea's 16 goals still well clear at the top, but goals from five different contributors made this one impossible to predict until Cararus's late strike. Watch how Corvinul Hunedoara survived Voluntari's second-half push and sealed it in the 80th minute.
