Match Recap
Deportivo La Coruna looked headed for defeat until Diego Villares struck in the 87th minute to snatch a 1-1 draw against Real Betis. The visitors had led since the 43rd minute, when Cucho Hernández finished cleanly to put Betis in front, and for long spells at the RCDE they looked in control of the La Liga clash. Betis arrived in better shape, sitting third with 16 points and three wins from five, while Deportivo's mixed run of two wins in five left them seventh. That table gap made the late leveler sting even more for the away side, who saw a share of the spoils slip away in stoppage time. Neither Hernández nor Villares features among the division's top scorers this season, with Kylian Mbappé still well clear on 41, but on this night it was Villares' composure in front of goal that mattered most. Watch how Deportivo's late surge produced the equalizer that denied Betis all three points.
