Match Recap
Real Madrid nearly let a comfortable night slip away before Carlos Espí settled it in the sixth minute of stoppage time at Elche. Kylian Mbappé, the league's top scorer with 41 goals, struck in the 33rd minute after Matías Dituro's own goal had already put the visitors ahead, and Real Madrid looked in cruise control heading into the final half hour. Then Elche, rooted at the bottom of the La Liga table with just two points from five games, roared back through Abiel Alessio Osorio and Fernando Niño Rodríguez to level it at 2-2 and stun the away end. Real Madrid, second in the standings and unbeaten in four of their last five, needed a response, and Espí delivered it deep into injury time to complete a wild 3-2 that extended Elche's winless run against them. Five goals, two collapses, and a stoppage-time gut-punch, watch how Espí's winner unfolded in the highlights below.
