Match Recap
G. Paciencia turned on the style with a quickfire double, but Santa Clara could not hold onto their advantage against Nacional in a four-goal Primeira Liga clash. Paciencia struck twice in two minutes, finding the net in the 19th and 21st minutes to put the hosts in full control. Nacional responded before the break, as Liziero pulled one back in the 36th minute before M. Baeza leveled matters right on the stroke of half time in the 45th minute. Santa Clara entered the fixture seeking to build on their head-to-head record against Nacional, having earned a win and a draw in their previous two meetings. While league-leading scorer L. Suárez tops the charts with 21 goals, Paciencia showed his own clinical spark early on. With Santa Clara ranked 13th and Nacional 14th in the standings, neither side could find a second-half winner after that explosive opening period. Replay Paciencia's rapid two-minute double and Baeza's crucial 45th-minute equalizer right now.
