Match Recap
Luis Cano scored twice and Aucas simply had no answer as Barcelona SC ran riot in this Liga Pro clash, turning a tight game into a one-sided demolition. Darío Benedetto set the tone after just 8 minutes, and once Cano doubled the damage in the 82nd, the floodgates opened: Damián Díaz and then Cano again piled on in stoppage time to make it four without reply. The scoreline flatters neither side's recent form, since both arrived level on two wins from five, but Barcelona SC's superior league position told on the day, and this result pulls them within six points of Aucas in the standings. Historically this fixture has been even, with Aucas unbeaten in one of their last two meetings with Barcelona SC, so a 4-0 romp breaks the pattern completely. None of the scorers crack the league's top ten, where F. Posse still leads the charge, but Cano's brace will do plenty for his own case. Watch how Cano turns a routine finish in the 82nd minute into a stoppage-time party-starter, capping a night Aucas will want to forget fast.
