Match Recap
Sacramento Republic needed one swing of the boot to settle this USL Championship clash, and it came as late as it gets. Brennan Willey broke a deadlocked contest in the 88th minute, snatching all three points from FC Tulsa right as the game looked destined for a draw. The timing fit the form: Sacramento arrived second in the table on 51 points, winning three of their last five, while Tulsa have stumbled to just one win in that same stretch and sit seventh. Their only previous meeting ended level, so Willey's strike also broke new ground between these two sides. Neither P. Goodrum, the league's leading scorer with 10 goals, nor anyone else from the league's top tier found the net here, leaving Willey's late intervention as the match's defining moment. For Tulsa, it's a cruel way to drop points against a side climbing the standings; for Sacramento, it's the kind of 88th-minute gut-punch that wins playoff races. Watch how Willey finds the gap in Tulsa's defense to end it in the dying minutes.
