Rivers United 2–0 Warri Wolves

Rivers United needed just one moment to open their NPFL season in style. A. Dabai struck in the 22nd minute and it proved enough, sending Rivers United to a 2-0 win over Warri Wolves and a perfect start: three points, a win, and ninth place in the table. Dabai's goal was his seventh of the campaign, good enough to rank him sixth among the league's scorers, chasing V. Mbaoma's tally of 13. It also swung an even head-to-head series back Rivers United's way, having split their last two meetings with Warri Wolves one win apiece before this result. For Warri Wolves, the opener could hardly have gone worse: no points, no goals, and 18th place to show for it. Dabai's early strike set the tone and Warri Wolves never found a way back into it. Catch the 22nd-minute finish that put Rivers United's NPFL campaign on the front foot from day one.
