Match Recap
Vasco da Gama needed just one moment to open the game up, and Bruno Duarte Da Silva delivered it in the 37th minute, putting the home side ahead in this CONMEBOL Sudamericana clash with Santa Fe. David doubled the advantage on 65 minutes, turning a tight contest into a comfortable 2-0 win at home. It's a repeat result too: the last time these two sides met, it ended level, so Vasco's finishing this time settled the score in their favor. The win keeps Vasco da Gama's push up the table alive, with the club sitting second on 10 points and three wins from five, a WLWWL run that shows the inconsistency they're now shaking off. Gabriel Barbosa still leads the scoring charts for the competition, and neither Bruno Duarte Da Silva nor David has broken into that company yet, but this performance suggests they're capable of chipping away at that gap. Two goals, one dominant afternoon for Vasco da Gama. Watch how David's 65th-minute strike sealed it, right in the highlights below.
