Match Recap
Gornik Zabrze walked into Widzew Łódź top of the Ekstraklasa table and in red-hot form, but they needed a leveler just before halftime to escape with a point. Karol Świderski shocked the leaders in the 16th minute, turning Widzew's struggling home crowd electric against the division's form side. Gornik, who had won three of their last five, found their answer through Kacper Urbanski in the 40th minute, dragging the scoreline level before the break. It mattered more for Widzew than the table shows: rooted in 14th place with no wins in five league games, they've still never beaten Gornik in their last two meetings, splitting a draw and a loss between them. A point against the runaway leaders won't fix Widzew's form, but it's the closest they've come to breaking it. Watch how Świderski's 16th-minute strike put Widzew in dreamland, and how Urbanski calmly ended the party four minutes before the interval.
