Match Recap
Estac Troyes arrived at the Stade du Moustoir and took control before the break, with Renaud Ripart opening the scoring in the 29th minute and Lucas Maronnier doubling the lead nine minutes later to give the visitors a commanding advantage heading into half-time. Lorient responded after the restart through Jean-Victor Makengo, who pulled one back in the 51st minute and gave the hosts a foothold, but they could not find the equaliser. The result leaves Lorient still searching for their first Ligue 1 win of the season, two games in and stuck on a single point, while Troyes bank three more to sit fifth with four points from their opening two outings. It is a measured, controlled away performance from Troyes, and Maronnier's finish just before the whistle to make it 2-0 is the moment that ultimately settled this one.
