Match Recap
Talleres Cordoba were seconds from a comfortable victory when Erik Ramirez pulled one back for Union Santa Fe in the 90th minute, turning a routine Liga Profesional Argentina win into something altogether more tense. It had looked so straightforward: Agustin Alvarez Martinez broke the deadlock on 39 minutes, and Valentin Depietri's second on 75 seemed to kill the game off entirely. But Ramirez made it 2-1 at the death and suddenly the home end were checking the clock. Talleres held on, collecting three points that lift them to 26 in fourth place, and recording their first win over Union in the sides' recent meetings after the teams drew the last time they faced each other. Union, who had won three of their previous five, leave empty-handed despite that desperate late push. Watch Depietri's 75th-minute goal, and then the frantic final minutes that almost cost Talleres everything.
