Match Recap
Uta Arad had lost their only previous meeting with CFR 1907 Cluj, but this time the hosts found a way through. Omar Sawy El broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, and that single goal was enough to see off the reigning Liga I heavyweights. It's a result that flips the head-to-head record in Uta Arad's favor and lifts them to 15 points, one behind CFR, who sit eighth with 16. The form tables tell the real story here: Uta Arad arrive on the back of three wins in five, while CFR have won just two of their last five and slipped into a losing finish. Neither side has a player among the league's current top ten scorers, with A. Cordea's 16 goals still clear at the top of the Liga I charts, but on this occasion it was Sawy El's name on the scoresheet that mattered most. A tight, single-goal battle between two mid-table sides going in opposite directions, decided by one clinical strike just after the hour. Watch exactly how Sawy El found the net in the 55th minute to sink CFR 1907 Cluj.
